Lil Mama was born in Harlem in 1989. She was raised in Brooklyn, New York where she attended Edward R. Murrow High School. In 2006, Kirkland signed a recording contract with Jive Records. Her mother Tara died on December 15, 2007 following a four-year battle with colon cancer. Her father died before she was born. Kirkland faced personal and financial struggles at an early age. As one of eight brothers and sisters, she started to express herself artistically through poetry and dance. Her first studio album VYP (Voice of the Young People) was released in late April 2008. The album spawned four singles: "Lip Gloss", "G-Slide (Tour Bus)", "Shawty Get Loose" and "What It Is (Strike a Pose)". The album sold 19,000 copies in the first week, debuting at number 25 on the Billboard 200. Since the release of her first album, Lil Mama has been in the studio working on new music. Florence Welch

Florence Welch 19 Florence Welch (born 28 August 1986 in Camberwell) is the daughter of Evelyn Welch, a Harvard-educated Professor of Renaissance Studies and Academic Dean of Arts at Queen Mary, University of London, and Nick Welch, an advertising executive.  Evelyn is also the niece of the satirist Craig Brown. Nick contributed a "rock and roll element to the family mix"; in his 20s he used to live in the West End squat and attended the Squatters' Ball organised by Heathcote Williams where The 101ers played regularly. 220px-Florence45 Himself a self-confessed "frustrated performer", if Nick, as he put it, "nudged Flo in any way it's only been to listen to The Ramones rather than Green Day". Evelyn had an equally strong, even if completely different influence on her daughter. A visit to one of her mother's lectures left teenage Florence deeply impressed. She explained, "I aspire to something like that but with music. I hope that my music has some of the big themes sex, death, love, violence that will still be part of the human story in 200 years' time." Florence was educated at Thomas's London Day School then went onto Alleyn's School, South East London, where she did well academically. Florence Welch 21 Welch often got in trouble in school for impromptu singing. Welch has been diagnosed with dyslexia and dyspraxia.  Following her meteoric rise to fame, she suffered a bout of depression. Upon leaving school, Florence studied at Camberwell College of Arts before dropping out to focus on her music. Welch's fascination with terror and doom was intensified by the death of her grandparents within a few years of each other. At the age 10 Welch witnessed her grandfather's deterioration, and her maternal grandmother, also an art historian, committed suicide when Welch was 14. When Welch was 13 years old, she and her mother moved in with their next door neighbour and his three teenage children. According to Welch: "We get on brilliantly now, but it was a nightmare then. I just used to stay in my room and dance around." Florence Welch 15
Welch contributed vocals to David Byrne and Fatboy Slim's 2010 album Here Lies Love, an album about Imelda Marcos. Welch has been dating boyfriend Stuart Hammond since 2008; their temporary split provided inspiration for much of the Lungs album.  When discussing her fashion style, Welch said that, "For the stage, it's Lady of Charlotte meets Ophelia...mixed with scary gothic bat lady. But in real life I'm kind of prim." As of January 2011, Welch was working with Drake on material slated for his upcoming record. Florence Welch 5 Welch has become a fashion icon, noticed for her red curls (though she is actually a natural brunette) and a style that has been described as daring but nonchalant. As a teenager she read fashion magazines more often than music magazines. Early in her music career she dressed in a tomboy style. 2011 saw Gucci dressing her for her summer tour and a performance at the Chanel runway show at Paris Fashion Week. Welch describes 1970s American drag queen troupe Cockettes and French beatnik singer Francoise Hardy as fashion mentors. Florence Welch 3 Welch has also named Fleetwood Mac pop/rock songstress Stevie Nicks as a musical, fashion, and general influence. A Huffington Post entertainment article quotes her as telling a reporter that "I'm pretty obsessed with Stevie Nicks from her style to her voice. I like watching her on YouTube and her old performances, the way she moves and everything." Welch can sometimes be seen in concert paying homage to Nick's famous billowing, gypsy stage dress, all the while making it her own. Welch had a long term relationship with a literary editor. The couple briefly broke up prior to the release of Florence and the Machine's debut album and the breakup provided material for the album. In 2011 the couple broke up by mutual decision because of conflicting career demands and the breakup provide material for Florence and The Machine's second album.

Chaz Salvatore Bono

Chaz Salvatore Bono 12
Chaz Salvatore Bono (born Chastity Sun Bono; March 4, 1969) is an American transgender advocate, writer, actor, and musician. Bono is the only child of American entertainers Sonny and Cher, though each had children from other relationships. Bono is a transgender man. In 1995, after several years of being outed as lesbian by the tabloid press, Bono publicly self-identified as such in a cover story in a leading American gay monthly magazine, The Advocate. Bono went on to discuss the process of coming out to oneself and to others in two books. Family Outing: A Guide to the Coming Out Process for Gays, Lesbians, and Their Families (1998) includes the author's coming out account. The memoir, The End of Innocence (2003) discusses the author's outing, music career, and partner Joan's death from non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Chaz Salvatore Bono 5 Between 2008 and 2010, Bono underwent female-to-male gender transition. A two-part Entertainment Tonight feature in June 2009 explained that Bono's transition had started a year before. In May 2010, Bono legally changed gender and name. A documentary on Bono's experience, Becoming Chaz, was screened at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival and later made its television debut on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network. Chaz Salvatore Bono 9 In mid-2008, Bono began undergoing a physical and social gender transition from female to male. This was confirmed in June 2009 by his publicist, who identified Bono's preferred name as Chaz Bono and said, "It is Chaz's hope that his choice to transition will open the hearts and minds of the public regarding this issue, just as his coming out did." GLAAD and the Empowering Spirits Foundation were quick to offer praise and support for the announcement. Bono's legal transition was completed on May 7, 2010, when a California court granted his request for a gender and name change. He chose the name "Chaz Salvatore Bono" in honor of his parents. Bono made Becoming Chaz, a documentary film about his gender transition that premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network acquired the rights to the documentary and debuted it on May 10, 2011. In September 2011, Bono became a competitor on the 13th season of the US version of Dancing with the Stars with partner Lacey Schwimmer. Chaz was eliminated October 25th.

Anne Heche

413px-AnneHecheJune07_edit Anne  Heche ( born May 25, 1969) is an American actress. She has had leading roles in two theatrically released films, Six Days Seven Nights and Return to Paradise, as well as many supporting roles in films such as I Know What You Did Last Summer, Volcano, John Q, Donnie Brasco, Spread, and Cedar Rapids. She also starred in the television series Men in Trees and Hung. anneheche4 Heche had a recurring role on the WB drama Everwood during its 2004–2005 season. She then took on a recurring role on Nip/Tuck in 2005 as an ex-mob wife and Witness Protection Program subject who requires plastic surgery. Heche continued to act in TV movies, playing a widow who doesn't celebrate Christmas in Silver Bells (2005), and a con woman who schemes a man she met on a dating website in Fatal Desire (2006). AnneHecheIn 2006, Heche began work on her own primetime series, ABC’s dramedy Men in Trees. In the show, Heche starred as a New York author who, after finding out her fiancé is cheating on her, moves to a small town in Alaska, which happens to be abundant with single men and few women. Men in Trees was canceled in May 2008, after a season shortened by the writer’s strike. She then appeared in Spread, a sex comedy starring Ashton Kutcher released in 2009, which came out in a limited release and with negative reviews, however, Matthew Turney of View London wrote "There's also terrific support" from Heche. anneheche3In 2009, Heche was cast in the HBO series Hung, a dark comedy that centers on a well-endowed but struggling high school basketball/baseball coach. Thomas Jane plays the lead character, Ray. Heche plays Ray's ex-wife, who is remarried. The actress replaces Kristin Bauer, who played the role in the pilot. The series was canceled in December 2011. In 2011, Heche appeared in the independent romantic comedy film Cedar Rapids, which was screened at the Sundance Film Festival. The film is about a naive middle-aged man (played by The Hangover actor Ed Helms) who ventures out of his sheltered existence for the first time when he’s forced to attend an insurance conference. Since its release Cedar Rapids has received many good reviews in which Heche's performance was well received; David Rooney of The Hollywood Reporter stated that "while Heche shines brightest in more brittle mode, as in HBO's Hung, she strikes a sweet balance between Joan's mischievous and maternal sides". Heche had a leading role in the racy comedy That's What She Said (2012), which went straight to DVD. She currently has an upcoming television pilot for NBC called Save Me, scheduled to air in mid-2013, in which she plays a Midwestern housewife who believes she is channeling God.  Heche will play a waitress in the upcoming film Heat (2014), which stars Jason Statham.
