In 2008, she was signed by Aditya Chopra for a three-film contract with Yash Raj Films and made her screen debut in Chopra's Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. Band Baaja Baaraat was released on December 10, 2010 to positive reviews and went on to become a sleeper hit. Box Office India website reported that the film grossed approximately INR 21.44 crore after five weeks, making it a moderate box office success.  Anushka Sharma352 Sharma's performance was praised by critics, many of whom called it her best work up to that point. Taran Adarsh described her as "truly wonderful," noting that it is "the first time in her 3-film career, a film rests mainly on Anushka's shoulders, and she handles the responsibility so well." For her work in the film, Sharma received her second nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress and earned several awards and nominations at different award ceremonies. Anushka Sharma963 In December 2009, she began shooting for Patiala House, her first venture outside of Yash Raj with Nikhil Advani and Akshay Kumar. Patiala House was released on February 11, 2011. Despite the film's lukewarm performance at the box office, Sharma received positive reviews. Nikhat Kazmi of The Times Of India wrote, Anushka Sharma258 "Anushka Sharma’s vivacity may have an after taste of her bubbling Band Baaja Baraat act but her passage from Janakpuri’s dhinchak girl to Southall’s siren is sweet and smooth. Watch out for the girl; she’s truly on a roll. Anushka Sharma321 In December 2011, she re-united with her Band Baaja Baarat team of Ranveer Singh and Maneesh Sharma for Yashraj Films's Ladies vs Ricky Bahl. Leela James

Leela James (born June 2, 1983 in Los Angeles, California) is an American R&B and soul singer-songwriter. James cites singers James Brown, Roberta Flack, Marvin Gaye, Donny Hathaway, Gladys Knight, Mavis Staples, and Stevie Wonder as her influences. Her deep, rich, gritty vocals have drawn comparisons to Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, and Tina Turner. James' debut album, entitled A Change Is Gonna Come, was released on June 21, 2005. leelajames584 The album was conceived as a throwback to an earlier era of American soul music, building upon the legacy of 1960s and 1970s soul singers while incorporating elements of contemporary R&B, funk, and gospel. In the lyrics to the album's lead single, entitled "Music", James laments the current state of contemporary popular music. She condemns the glorification of materialism and misogyny that has often been attributed to the lyrical content of contemporary R&B and hip hop songs while pleading for the return of the artistry, dedication, and sincerity displayed by musicians of earlier decades. leelajames587 James co-wrote most of the tracks on her debut album, two exceptions being her covers of the pop rock band No Doubt's 1996 hit "Don't Speak" and the classic title song by Sam Cooke, for which the album is named. Notable collaborators on the album include Raphael Saadiq of the 1990s R&B group Tony! Toni! Toné!, Kanye West, and former Fugees member Wyclef Jean. In 2004, James toured as an opening act for The Black Eyed Peas and Macy Gray. That same year, she was featured on hip hop producer, DJ, and emcee Pete Rock's album Soul Survivor II, providing vocals to the track "No Tears". In 2005, she lent her voice to the posthumously released Ray Charles album Genius & Friends, duetting with the singer on the song "Compared to What". leelajames586 Leela also guested on Robert Randolph and the Family Band's 2006 album Colorblind, lending her vocals to "Stronger".  After parting ways with Warner Bros., James signed with the independent label Shanachie Records and released her second studio album on March 24, 2009, an all-cover set entitled Let's Do It Again (the title being a homage to the 1975 soundtrack album of the same name by The Staple Singers). leelajames589 In June 2009, she appeared on Moby's new album "Wait for Me", performing the vocal on "Walk with Me". In Summer 2010, she appeared on BET's television series "My Black is Beautiful" as a co-host alongside of Tasha Smith, Kim Coles and Alesha Renee.

Freddie Wadling

Freddie Wadling (born August 2, 1951 in Gothenburg, Sweden) is a Swedish singer, actor and opera writer, whose over 30-year musical career spans from punk to classical ballads. He played bass in a number of bands during the 1970s and early 1980s. One notable band was Liket Lever (which roughly translates to The Corpse Lives). In the early 1980s, he joined the cult band Cortex. During this period Cortex released the album Spinal Injuries in 1981. The song "The Freaks" sung by Freddie Wadling became a signature song for him and was used in the soundtrack of Tjenare Kungen. Freddie_Wadling2Wadling also played in Straitjackets and the controversial Leather Nun, but his importance for the Swedish punk scene has been small - in contrast to his influence in the alternative/experimental rock scene. Freddie_Wadling3 In the 1980s and 1990s, he was vocalist of the Swedish alternative pop/rock duo Blue for Two. The duo started in Gothenburg in 1984 with him on vocals and Henryk Lipp as songwriter and synthesizers. They had a string of albums including Blue for Two (1986), Songs from a Pale and Bitter Moon (1988), Search & Enjoy (1992), Earbound (1994) and Moments (1997). The band became very popular and one of the main bands in the Swedish alternative scene in the 1980s. For their live performances, they were often accompanied by Sator guitarist Chips Kiesbye. Freddie_Wadling4 After Two for Blue stopped performing by the end of the 1990s, Freddie Wadling developed a prosperous solo career, releasing a great number of albums, and very notably the highly acclaimed En skiva till kaffet (1999) and Jag är monstret (2005) He also got attention with being part of the Fleshquartet for which he was awarded the Cornelis Vreeswijk Prize in 2005. The latter also contains collaborations with Thomas Öberg, Per Gessle and Tomas Andersson Wij. Waldling was also featured in band Mikrotone. He also joined Timbersound, formed in 1994 with Magne Furuholmen and Kjetil Bjerkestrand. 2010s saw a comeback by Freddie Wadling at two levels. He released his solo album With a Licence to Kill in 2011 that reached #12 on the Swedish Albums Chart and as Blue for Two he released with Henryk Lipp the album Tune the Piano and Hand Me a Razor that reached #18 on the Swedish Albums Chart.

Mark Duane Morton

Mark Duane Morton (born November 25, 1972) is the lead guitarist of the American groove metal band Lamb of God. His performing gear consists mostly of various Jackson guitars, including a Rhoads style and Swee-Tone archtop (both seen in the Killadelphia DVD) and, most often, his own signature model, the Jackson Dominion strung with GHS Boomer Strings 10-46 tuned to drop-D, loaded with a Seymour Duncan '59 in the bridge and a Duncan Jazz in the neck. He has recently developed a signature "Dominion" pickup with Dimarzio, which he is now using in his signature guitars. Onstage, Mark uses two Dual Mesa Boogie Mark V heads amplifiers with Mesa 4X12 cabinets His rack gear includes a Sennheiser wireless system, a DBX 266XL compressor / noise gate, and a splitter box. Mark only uses a few pedals on stage, Original Cry Baby Wah Pedal, MxR Eddie Van Halen Phaser which "makes his solos sear", MxR Overdrive pedal, and a Boss tuning pedal. Recently, it has been rumored that a signature Crybaby might be in production. Morton is known for writing some of Lamb of God's less conventional songs. These include, "Descending", "Vigil", and "Remorse Is for the Dead". In the DVD documenting the making of Sacrament, he made the point that he likes to "toss in the wildcard, the oddball, 'cause for every three you toss in, one of 'em winds up being real special because it's that different." Morton has also written some of the band's more traditional metal songs, such as, "Now You've Got Something to Die For", "Redneck" and "Walk With Me in Hell". In September 2011, Morton revealed plans of collaborating with DevilDriver frontman Dez Fafara on a new project. According to Morton, Chicago doom legends Trouble are a big influence on the material. He says 14 "killer tunes" have been written so far, with Morton stating he is "not sure when it'll come to light." In March 2012, Mark Morton collaborated with Dez Fafara on a new project called 'Born of the Storm'. Two songs were released, 'Nowhere Fast' and 'Dust'. Dez's vocals are different from his trademark DevilDriver vocals on these songs and Mark's guitar sound is more original and incorporates bluesy rock riffs, a style that Mark is making into his own. On Thursday, 19th of July, Morton released his own song titled 'To Make Sure2'. He announced the release of his song through his Facebook page. He wrote: "Here's a tune I worked on with some friends the other night. It's something different. I hope you enjoy."
