World's oldest mother

The world’s oldest mother is reportedly dying just eighteen months after giving birth to her first child at the age of 70. The news of Rajo Devi Lohan’s deteriorating health comes in the same week that it emerged that a 66-year old Indian woman had become the oldest woman in the world to give birth to triplets. Both women received IVF treatment at the same clinic in India after being unable to bear children throughout their married lives. These stories obviously raise concerns about the medical ethics behind the decision to offer the women IVF treatment, and about the future of their children. Lohan claims that she is too weak to recover from complications she experienced after her IVF pregnancy. The Daily Mail reports that Lohan is now confined to her bed and so frail that she cannot even lift her baby daughter. Despite this, Lohan, who is now 72, says she has no regrets.
